Showcase Events

From IKS Project

An important activity of the project is the showcase of results at industry and research related events. This work will intensify in the final 12 months (2012) of the IKS project. For this purpose we invite the IKS Community to table their recommended events below. A decision will be made based on the overall IKS impact agenda.

2012 Showcase Events 

1. Semantic Tech & Business Conference held in Berlin on 6-7 February 2012 is officially open.  (Henri Bergius invited to present Proggis).
2. World Wide Web 2012, 16-20 April Lyon. IKS to be represented in two developer tracks with Apache Stanbol (Rupert Westenthaler and VIE (Henri Bergius & Szaby Grünwald) See developers track http://www2012.wwwconference.org/program/accepted-papers/developers-track/
3. New Media Forum (J.Boye) 20 April 2012, Vienna, Austria
4. Smart Web Vienna 2012, 23 May, Vienna, Austria - IKS talk and stand
5. Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) 2012,  27-31 May 2012, Heraklion, Greece. Recommend participate with booth and in the AI Mashup Challenge. 
6. CMS Expert Group (J.Boye), 5 June 2012, Prague, Czech Republic
7. European Data Forum 2012, 6-7 June 2012, Copenhagan Denmark - IKS Hackathon
   
8. Arranging meetups. CNR will arrange meetups in Paris (June 2012 - Valentina will present Stanbol) and Rome (1 or two during the year with presentations from Italian early adopters).
9. Semantic Web Summer School (SSSW2012), 8-14 July 2012, Cercedilla, Spain.
10. I-Semantics2012, September 5-7, 2012, Graz, Austria. More industry focus than EKAW and ISWC, we should not miss it. There is a challenge, and we can send papers, what else? Sponsor? Not sure they have tutorials here.
11. EKAW2012, October 8-12, 2012, Galway, Ireland. What about proposing a tutorial here as well?
12. J. Boye, 6-8 November 2012, Aarhus, Denmark.
13. ISWC2012, 11-15 November 2012, Boston MA, USA - I recommend participating with a booth and in the Semantic Web Challenge. Perhaps also proposing a tutorial (CNR could coordinate the proposal)?
