The IKS developers workshop in Saarbrücken is dedicated to the integration of existing and evolving components, hands-on presentations for developers and collaborative further developing.

Topics

Depending on the number of topics and the size of the corresponding groups, we split the hackathon into several smaller hacker groups.

IKS Ami Case

• Testing components of the Ami Usecase.

Apache Stanbol

• Integration session targeted to industry

VIE & VIE²

• Editable Interfaces session

Proposals

• Semantic mash-up (can be developed as part of Apache Stanbol session if IND partners are interested): making sense of external data
  • Using Stanbol (integration involving VIE, Enhancers, EntityHub, KReS, and Persistence store) for aggregating data from the LOD based on scenarios that require organized presentation of knowledge in terms of entities, their places, time, and possibly their role and associated pictures. Does this picture make sense as possible flow?
  • E.g.: movies featuring certain actors, released in period, shot in places
  • E.g.: papers written by certain authors, publishers, publishing period, presented in events, authors' institution places
  • E.g.: expert finding - organizing knowledge based on topics of expertise, papers' co-authoring, involvement in projects, etc.

Travel

Please have a look at DFKI's travel information page. Please use the online bus schedule service from Saarbrücken. This service supports street names as well as bus stops (the bus stop next to the DFKI is called Universität Mensa). You can purchase a bus ticket directly from the bus driver. A daily ticket (or "Tageskarte") costs 5 € and a single ticket (or "Einzelfahrkarte") costs 2,40 €.
